I like to think that Barack Obama, with his sensible, inclusive, and consensus-building manner, is the modern day embodiment of the fabulous Martin Luther King, Jr.
It would seem to me that MLK would encourage Obama to continue taking the high road, as he has done so far, rather than crawling into the gutter with his opponents. He would also encourage Obama to continue his methodology of reaching out and being inclusive, as that more than anything embodies MLK's spirit.

MD, you're right, what else needs to be said, save a thankful prayer that while it's not perfect, it is better than it used to be.
