 Lets just assume that the GOP leaders we have in Congress are real idiots. Is that true or is it just a grift? Are many of the GOP leaders that goddamned stupid or are they just that goddamned evil? There's a combo of both but I want to concentrate on the ones I know aren't dumb but act that way for money, fame, attention and more money . These people KNOW better, but also realize that MAGA, the ones left anyway, are gullible as hell and like the phony televangelists know, these people are ripe for the grift .

1-- John Neely Kennedy Republican Senator from the Swamps of Looziana

Kennedy was a Democrat until 2007 when he realized the pot of gold waiting for him in conservative country. Kennedy went to Vanderbilt, got a law degree form Virginia, then went overseas to Oxford where he piled it even deeper with yet another degree. Not exactly a dummy right? He even talked like an educated man, endorsed John Kerry over W in 2004. He lost attempts to win a Senate seat as a Democrat and then it hit him....Start talking like Foghorn Leghorn and switch parties. In 2016 he won the Senate seat formerly held by prostitute enthusiast David Vitter and the rest is the con. Kennedy isnt dumb, he just acts that way for power.

2-- Ted Cruz Republican Senator from the Texas Republic

Rafael Edward Cruz was born in Canada sometime in the Middle Ages the son of a Cuban vampire named also Rafael. After Rafael abandoned the family when little Rafe was only 4 and flew to Texas, poor little Rafael was stuck in Canada where he would have been nationally ridiculed as a geek. But later Junior Rafael moved to Texas to be with his Papa where at the age of 13 he dressed up in a tiny suit, imagined himself to be President, and changed his name to Ted because Texas is totally not racist. Ted went to Princeton and then to Harvard Law when he came back to Texas and began saying y'all. So with that Harvard Law degree, Ted decided that more importantly it was mandatory to talk about "elites" like him and hope nobody in Texas noticed. They didnt, or at least enough of them didnt and Ted went to the Senate in 2013. It was also here where Ted decided to portray himself as a condescending asshole which led to the famous Lindsey Graham quote that if Ted Cruz was murdered on the floor of the Senate there'd be 99 suspects. Ted is the opposite of acting dumb when he's not, he's just an evil prick

3--Elise Stefanik Republican Congresswoman from New York where her parents live

Elise was born in 1984 where she was vaccinated with a sense of sociopathic ambition. Another little girl who probably idolized a hated woman like Maggie Thatcher because of her sociopathic disease Elise entered Harvard and obtained a degree in Government.  She hacked around working for W and Alfonse D'Amato and helped prepare fellow Ayn Rand enthusiast Paul Ryan for his catastrophic 2012 debate with Joe Biden who kept gesturing who IS this fuckin guy whenever Ryan opened his Randian scabbed mouth. It was at this point Stefanik pounced. Ryan was on his last legs and this was HER time. She moved to her parents congressional district, and ran for Congress and won at age 30, a little old to be Tracy Flick but whatever. Stefanik laid low voting as a moderate and then when Trump was impeached she leaped into action becoming a TV pimp for the Former Guy totally changing her modus operandi . She slipped right in when the MAGAts made Liz Cheney walk the plank and grabbed her leadership spot. Stefanik isnt dumb either, shes just a back stabbing ambitious sociopath who will kill anyone in her way to the top.

4--Kyrsten Sinema Republican Senator from Arizona

Ok I know "officially" she's a Democrat but she's also the major boulder in the road to getting anything done. Kissing up to Mitch McConnell and looking for all the attention she can get either by acting weird or dressing like a clown, Sinema was born Mormon. She went to BYU and then at the age of reason moved to Arizona and gave up her hope of Planet Kolob being real. Getting a Master of Social Work from Arizona State (wow) Sinema began working for Ralph Nader and joined the Green Party. She said she was a socialist, hated Joe Lieberman and called Reagan and W "the real Osama lovers"....JFC I'm in love with 2005 Kysten Sinema...Then she ran for Congress and the money began to roll in. Socialist Sinema became capitalist Sinema and here we are. Her Senate campaign in 2018 against the disaster known as Martha McSally was successful and even MORE money rolled in making Sinema rich as long asshe looked out for her donor class. Sinema isnt dumb, she's maybe the smartest person in any room she's in, but her mental state is complete me me me and she may be the most sociopathic person in the room, unless Elise Stefanik or Josh Hawley is around.

5--Dan Crenshaw Republican House member from the Barbary Coast or Texas

Crenshaw was born in Scotland so there's a bit of an explanation for his goofiness. He went to high school in Columbia which may explain more of his goofiness. Crenshaw went to Tufts University and when out joined the US Navy where he earned a Seal accreditation so he's one tough son of a bitch thats for sure.  He got a lot of medals and got his right eye blown out in Afghanistan. Sounds like the perfect Democrat to me but alas, he went to Harvard, probably got sick of the "elitist" bullshit and went to Texas to grift the rubes. He won a close House race in the Houston burbs by screaming border border border scaring the shit out of white people and the rest is Crenshaw goofy. He caters to the MAGAts but then gets a bit irritated with them and trashes their cultism. So Crenshaw cant really decide what side he's on. He seems to be a bit like an aginner , he gets irritated by whatever the presiding view is around him. He HAS to be the smartest most reasonable guy in the room or else. He aint dumb he just pretends to be at times and that must hurt like hell.

I don't know what to do about it. Pretending to be what you aint may be Politics 101 but that doesn't mean we have to accept it, right? Right?

Max Esq!

 For many many years my Dad wanted to be a lawyer which explains how he knew every defense attorney in Omaha and I got a lot of cool interviews in journalism school. But Dad had things like World War II and life get in the way and the next thing ya know it was too late. I had similar experiences. Well not exactly similar but life got in the way, I wasn't smart enough to be a lawyer for one thing, it wasn't a passion at all, and I wanted to expose the corrupt in journalism. Yeah didn't work out.

25 or so years ago Max came along and the ultimate life got in the way. My only passion became getting him through life without  screwing him up so bad he became me. Max was smart. He read at age two. He could explain things better than I could at age 5. He sailed thru school with an ease I could only envy. He got a scholarship to the University of Nebraska. He sailed through that with as close as you can get to a 4.0. Then he got yet another scholarship to law school. 

I wouldn't say it was clear sailing on that. The pandemic pretty much screwed that all up. But Max pushed on. His passion became NOT being some guy looking for a cushy job at a private firm helping rich people avoid taxes or a job putting people in prison. He worked hard at helping immigrants get visas or getting to stay in this country. His passion was evident. Helping his fellow man, especially the ones with no voice.

Max was sworn in this week as a full fledged licensed attorney in Nebraska courts and federal courts. He begins his work at the Public Defenders office next week. Helping the ones with no voice. Some would say defending the scum that preys on us all if you were a GOPer. But in this nation, for now anyway, even the scum need a voice. Max will be there to give everybody a voice.

I am Max's Dad and I couldn't be more proud. Somewhere someplace I hope my Dad is too.

Earnest Jackson!

 This is Earnest Jackson who at the age of 17 was sentenced to life in prison for being an accessory to murder. Then when the Supremes (back before they advocated draconian solutions) said he had to be re-sentenced and he got 60-80 years instead. Gee thanks for the "improvement".

In the meantime lots of things about this case have come out. For instance, there was a killing. whether Jackson was there or not is in dispute, but the rub is this. The guy who actually pulled the trigger and killed the victim was ACQUITTED of murder and let go on a self defense argument. So there wasn't an actual murder? Yet there was? I'm no lawyer but cmon now.

Jackson hasnt been a model prisoner his entire incarceration. He was a pissed off teen in prison for something he maintains he didn't do so there's lots of "write-ups" for bad conduct . But very few since 2012 when he got his college degree and began to mentor others. 

Thousands and thousands of signatures were gathered. Lots of character witnesses were lined up. The Pardons Board was inundated with pleas for at least a commutation of the 60-80 years. The victim's own family said hey he didn't do it let him go.

Ok the Nebraska Pardons board is a 3 white man panel consisting of the Governor, a shitheel Republican named Pete Ricketts (@govricketts) , a Secretary of State named Robert Evnan ( @NEvnen) and the Attorney General (@AGDougPeterson) who spends his entire time suing the Biden administration for forgiving student loans, joining lawsuits to overthrow the 2020 election, and being a pain in the ass. This board rejected the plea after 2 minutes. Yep 2 minutes. So once again, a man is doing 60-80 years for being an accessory to a non-murder. 

Later on, the Board acquiesced to a pardon request to a former Marine convicted of sexual assault supported by two rows of American Legion members. They voted to pardon this guy 2-1. One guess on what color he is. 

I do not know what else to say. It's an injustice that needs to be fixed. I probably haven't done it justice here.

Not Even Pretending Any Longer Hail Trump!

 Saturday September 17, 2002 Donald John Trump and his cultists stopped pretending. Emboldened by  a lack of outrage by us, normal citizens, these creeps went full Nazi. Its not even debatable. Trump stood in front of a half full arena in Youngstown Ohio and played full victim as a horde of commies and tyrants who had attacked him more "than any person in history".  And the Q anon nutbags that he has now catered to as regular people who voted for him drop off bored and perhaps tired of this whiny lil bitch and his greatest hits tour.

The rally was for oh who knows....cmon now it was for HIM. He accused Ohio Senate candidate J D Vance of not liking him much (in fact he had once compared Trump to Hitler) and now "kissing my ass' to get his endorsement. Pathetic. Great endorsement for the elitist from Harvard claiming to be nuthin but a hillbilly.

Coming on to some sort of WWE music thru the smoke like a rassler, Trump began his 2 hour rant with a series of bullshit greatest hits, election stolen, I'm the victim,  whoa is me, the FBI is out to get me, they're really after you blah blah....

And at the end.....the soft music as Trump went full cultist. As his minions shoved their right hands in the air, index finger raised, as Trump rattled off the call to arms. Tyrants are out to get them, left wing loonies and Rinos. climbing mountains, stand together we shall never give up, we shall never back down, $12 an hour blacks for Trump looking bored, arms raised , promising wealth to these sieg heiling hilljacks, promising safety to them, promising to Make America White  Great Again. When do they burn down the Reichstag?  

Look my Dad fought these arm raising fucks for 4 years and it was a miserable existence. The "worst 4 years of my life" per him. Millions of WW II vets are spinning in their graves knowing that a lying racist ego maniacal fuck  has taken control of an entire political party. The "normal" members of the political party seem to think as German conservatives did in 1933, that he will moderate or they can control him or eventually he will just die but form 2017-2021 we know thats not true.  The son of a bitch and his thugs tried to overthrow a government. Pranks Backfire!

 

It seems that perhaps Ron Desantis (Asshole-Fl) or maybe Greg Abbott (Scumbag-Tx) were reading some book they probably banned from being taught to their children and saw that in the 1960s Southern Governors put a bunch of black folks on buses and sent them North with the promises of jobs and housing. So these racist assholes were trying to own the libs even back then. Things havent changed.

DeSantis, a real schmuck, recruited migrants from Venezuela who had traveled thru 10 countries to get to Texas, flew them to Florida, then spent millions of taxpayer money (no doubt from the feds since Florida is a taker state) to fly them to Marthas Vineyard. Boy howdy, that'll show them libs. A real knee slapper to his base of pricks and bigots. Now sit back and wait for all those rich libs to throw a fit and we shall expose their hypocrisy. Oh sorry, Ron. 

See Ron and Greg, despite your efforts to appeal to a racist bag of dicks. the people of the island welcomed the migrants, fed them, housed them and called you out on your bullshit. What next? The Goober Governor of Mississippi shipping Jackson black water in jugs to the north?

Now in case this whole affair is illegal, a waste of tax money or both, the DOJ may have something else to look at.

The fact is this. DeSantis and Abbott are shitheels, both as politicians and as human beings. Their stunts that included sending migrants to Chicago and to DC and now this are not working. This will not get these two racists one vote. It strengthens their racist base for sure, but not all the supporters of these two fucksticks are asswipes. There are people who find this disgusting who voted for these two. To take human beings in dire straits , lie to them, put them on airplanes or buses and send them to places they know nothing about with the cruel bullshit promises of jobs and housing may be funny to the likes of Stephen Miller or Ted Cruz, a couple of ghouls. but to most of us it is not.

It would be like sending Abbott and DeSantis to someplace they know nothing about. Like a church. A food bank. Or a place with decent people like Marthas Vineyard. Get back in your caskets you two vampire blood suckers.

Scott Frost!

 I prefer to remember him that way. The most underrated Husker quarterback of all time. In the top 5 ever as far as I'm concerned. The guy who never gave up at Missouri in 97 , the guy who lobbied for a Tom Osborne title in 1997 after beating Peyton Manning, the guy who took a lot of shit as a player for the simple reason he wanted to play for Bill Walsh at Stanford before coming back. Frankie London? Really?

But right now, anyone under 35 only remembers the abject failure Scott Frost is as a coach. 5 years of failure, of incompetence, of promises never fulfilled, of excuses, of blaming others for your misfortune, of inept play calling and for losses that still are inexplicable other than coaching.

2018 Troy State....2018 Michigan....2018 Colorado...2019 Colorado...2019 Indiana....2019 Purdue...2020 Northwestern...2020 Illinois.....2020 Minnesota should have gotten him fired right then....2021 Illinois....2021 Michigan State....2021 Purdue.....2021 Iowa.....2022 Northwestern....and last night 2022 Georgia Southern

In EVERY one of those games he was outcoached, outplayed, outhustled and was outright bad at his job.

5 years ago this entire state stood and cheered when Scott Frost was signed as coach. I listen to nobody who claims to have been skeptical because I know they are lying or are a fucking Jaysker (a weird combo of Creighton fan who goes to Husker football games to be seen). We all waited for it to click and it never did. I wanted him gone after last years Iowa meltdown in which the mentality in the stadium after Iowa blocked a punt and ran it for a TD in quarter 4 was well you know we are gonna lose (they were still up 21-16) . That fan mentality is a killer, or should have been. 

But AD Trev Alberts, another HOF Husker great, made Frost fire staff, hire new staff and reduce his salary and buyout which Frost accepted. Optimism reigned among the faithful. Even I thought 7-5 was achievable but after last night, its not. Georgia Southern, a 3-9 team last year, with a new coach and a new QB (who played last year here with Buffalo) had their way with the Blackshirt D getting 642 yards and winning the game with a QB draw by a guy I could beat in a 40 yard dash. That's it I've had it.

Frost will be gone, HAS to be gone. His buyout decreases on October 1 to $7.5 million and since this season is done why not just wait till then and then use the $7.5 to help get a new coach, perhaps without ANY Nebraska ties this time. The "tradition" has been a total shitshow. The "Tradition" ended in 2003 when this athletic department fired Frank Solich for the audacity of going 9-3. Be careful what you wish for. 

What needs to happen is up  the AD Trev. Fans speculations are irrelevant since none of them know anything. Urban Meyer, Lane Kiffin, Matt Campbell, Stoops, the ghost of Bob Devaney I dont care. Just get somebody with a track record who can fix this.

Leave It To The States And More GOP Bullsh**!!

 Remember when Roe was overturned and these judgmental jerks all told us to stop whining and all they ever wanted was for the states to decide (which of course means no abortions ever and fixed elections) . Well then along came Kansas where Republicans overplayed their hand thinking that just because all their friends in small town Kansas playing pinochle at the VFW hate young women abortion that a ballot initiative will result in an overwhelming affirmation that life begins at conception and ends at viability. Well Kansas Republicans fucked up because city dwelling young women and their Dads & Moms and a lot of closeted human rights believers in small towns came out and beat the hell out of the attempt to force birth.

Michigan is next. 750,000 plus Michiganders signed a petition to dump the 1931 abortion ban and codify Roe into law. Slam dunk right Republicans? Will of the people? All that bullshit? Wait a minute there. Frightened down to their little misogynistic toes by Kansas, Michigan Republicans on the canvassing board refused to certify the initiative because of "spacing and formatting errors" . You see their was a space here and a I not dotted here and thus all 750K signatures are invalid because this must have confused the hell out of everybody and without that extra space they would have all said hey I'm not signing this because format and grammar are wayyyy more important than women's rights. Yep this was the argument that was keeping this off the ballot. That and the fact the Michigan GOP knew this would pass like a kidney stone being belted with radiated women. 

The Michigan Supreme Court took on the rejection and voted 5-2 to put it on the ballot in November. Republican justices dissented with the same old voters are morons and need to be told what to do by the Great White GOP Father. And so it goes. Michigan voters will codify Roe in November PLUS destroy MAGA candidates with the increased turnout of young women, their Dads and Moms and the closeted small town women's rights advocates.

Only an idiot would have ever believed that the conservatives simply wanted abortion to be left to the states, LOL. They want federal control so that states would be rendered irrelevant but because their brains are so soaked with Fox News bullshit that they actually believe the people are behind them. They know deep down they are a minority so gerrymandering and outright cheating is their way to Gilead. Kansas kicked them right in the balls.

Special Master?

 Ok sure. That'll happen. Or is he calling for a violent revolution like he always does? Like in that deranged speech the other night in Wilkes-Barre where he called for the President to be declared an enemy of the state, said the devil lit the speech (jealous much?) , rambled on for two hours with the same old hits, and then declared people were screaming for more after 2 hours. The sight of the cretins chanting "Lock Her Up" for Hillary mishandling classified information while the Mishandler in Chief stood there grinning like a loon pissed he couldnt keep talking was so precious. Would somebody just put this muthafuka in shackles already?

Special Master? It sounds like some title you get playing Dungeons and Dragons or something right out of Star Wars. Hell, I'm no lawyer but I play one here and the decision of a Trump appointed hack judge named Aileen Cannon to appoint this "Special Master" is bad on so many counts. The DOJ is not allowed to continue to examine any of Trumps stolen documents until this "Special Master" decides if they can. She also went along with that Trump legal team (LOL) of morons, idiots and self incriminators argument that the ex president still has executive privilege despite the fact he does not. The Judge that was appointed by a fucking traitor also concluded that because an indictment ruins a man's life and that indictment could be totally unfounded (what?) and thus the real victim here is that guy who appointed me and there have I done my job of protecting said man who appointed me? She continued on that this ruling appointing a Master of His Own Domain or whatever has to happen because the search of Mar A Lago, aka the Presidents home, is "unprecedented" and thus whoaaa there, we need this S&M person to make sure all is kosher. Unprecedented? Ya know what else was "unprecedented"? The raid on the Spahn Ranch to round up the Manson gang. The arrest of this murderous creep in Memphis. Me being pulled over for speeding. All of that is "unprecedented" Your Hack, errrrr, Honor. JFC what the hell is happening here? Max, a future "special master" of law, said he wrote better opinions in fucking high school and that any professor he had would have given this judge an F and sent her on her hackery way.

Hey we have a Governors race in this state that just cant get off the ground because one of the candidates (gee guess which party) will not debate, hangs around rural voters and is counting on the R next to his name being the only goddamned thing he needs to win this Governors race in Nebraska. His name is Jim Pillen, his only claim to fame is he fell on a fumble in a football game in 1978 for the Huskers and it won the game. He didnt hit the great Billy Sims and cause the fumble. He was just bringing up the rear chasing him into the end zone and said he whats this and fell on the football. Look, I went to school with this guy, he was considered a conquering hero in the one class I had with him, and other than that I remember nothing. I cant say he was plain dumb, like I can about Ginni Thomas. I cant say much about him other than since 1978 he's really done zilch. Oh hes a big successful pig farmer who has never ever "knowingly" hired "illegals" and he won a seat of the Board of Regents where his only claim to fame was to grandstand and attempt to get CRT outlawed at the University of Nebraska, something that doesn't exist. He may as well have tried to outlaw the football team from losing. Pillen will probably win because he may be right about the R next to his name in the rural part of the state. His opponent, a perfectly reasonable Democratic state senator named Carol Blood, cannot get any traction without this religious fanatic debating her. Oh did I mention he's a theocratic fascist who wants Gawd back in the schools, "illegals" in jail and then deported, Dr Fauci in jail, abortion outlawed in all forms and allow the police to run rampant to enforce "law and order". 

Pillen refuses to enter the city limits of the big cities of Omaha and Lincoln unless he sneaks in in a car trunk or with a fake stache and glasses because he knows the city folk might ask him a real question he cant answer without invoking a football analogy. He snuck into Omaha the other night to help raise money for some MAGA nutjob that would help him turn the state into a christo-fascist fiefdom. Nobody was informed and nobody knew until he snuck back out to the rural areas. 

Nebraska is always behind the times getting to stuff 20 years late. But here, with this Pillen, we are only 7 or so years behind making an unqualified football "hero", a TV star, Governor. Let us just hope the 60-40 loss he will suffer in the cities can overcome the 90-10 win he gets out in the sticks. I am not hopeful.

Joe Biden!

 Well it had to be done. Better late than never. When you're ahead you don't play not to lose. That's the mistake so many make either in sports or politics, you get what you perceive as an insurmountable lead and then you attempt to coast home . Hey look. for us olds, Secretariat didn't pile up a 25 length lead in that Belmont, then wander over to get a hot dog in the stretch cuz he couldn't lose, nope he kept going full blast and won by 31. Biden is Secretariat at this point. He has been persuaded to abandon the compromising nice guy routine , which is who he really is, and step on the throat of the GOP and what it has become.

Look, we saw a piece of camel dung like Donald Trump never let up, appealing to the lowest common denominator of America, bring forth the white supremacy in everyday people that had always laid low, and resurrect the 1950s attitudes held by so many white working people who feel left behind (AKA we are in charge and should always be so). Now of course these working white people (translation in GOP language "hard working Americans) have no idea it's the GOP that will fuck them over again and again because there's all those "weirdos"in the "Democrat" party.

Biden stood in front of Independence Hall, lit in red white and blue, and let the GOP have it. He called them out on virtually everything they've done. Manipulate the great unwashed into becoming the violent anything goes to win fascists as a threat to democracy. Not semi fascists, these creeps have gone full fascist and in some cases full blown Nazi (Florida Man Ron). Biden railed against these MAGA morons, the phonies in the Republican party who enable them, are frightened by them, and do what they say all in the name of a tax cheat, spy, liar, traitorous twat named Trump. 

The GOP has gotten away with bullying the Democrats for years. The Democrats cant stop thinking that if they argue common sense, people will eventually come around. NO! They will not. People are emotional beings and the GOP appeals to those emotions. Fright. Bigotry. More Fright. Hatred. Fright. Every right gained by someone else is one you lose. And they get away with it because Democrats refuse to "go low" (dumbest thing Michelle ever said). Look I have said this for 40 years . The Republican Party struck a nerve in the late 70s when they went full blown racist. Pushing forward a nice old gentlemen actor that could express a kind of out of fashion Archie Bunker bigotry without threatening anyone. We laughed at Archie Bunker in the early 70s and by 1980 we had elected him. The Republicans have been pushing it for 40 years. The Dems (translation minorities) are out to get you. They're comin. The loudmouthed women, the gays, the blacks, the browns, and now the trans. Threatening to make your kids accepting of something you don't like. So kill the schools, burn the books, ban the CRT, put "God" back in the schools and make America the myth it once was. 

Maybe now Biden has thrown down the gauntlet. We aren't taking it anymore. Your lies and threats don't work any longer. We are fighting the fuck back and we have the numbers and this scares the living shit out of the GOP powers that be. They threw themselves on the fainting couch, called a Biden a fascist, claimed he had gone to war with "half the country" (oh how they wish) and photo shopped the pictures into a Biden demon coming forth from Hell! And ya know what, I don't care.

The people making the most noise with the phony outrage, you know the ones who secretly wish Donald Trump would finally just drop dead, were already on the pivot horse. Waiting to throw that traitorous Trump blob off the ship at first opportunity. But now they have in effect been forced to go back to the radicalized racists they are because MAGA is pissed. Look, none of these manipulative bullshit artists would EVER vote for Joe Biden or a Democrat because they aren't about country they are about themselves and power. The Nikki Haleys, the Elise Stefaniks, the Lindsey Grahams, the Ted Cruz's are not real personas. They are smarter than the Boeberts and the Greenes and the Blackburns and the Hawleys and the Biggs and the Imhofes.
